The Athletic Hall of Fame committee was formed in an attempt to honor those who have significantly contributed to Mt. Morris Blue Devil athletics.  We have developed specific entrance criteria and voting procedures.  The plan is to hold an induction ceremony in late November or early December each year and hang plaques of those inducted in the hall outside the gymnasium.  With your help, this will begin in 2007.  In year one, a maximum of ten members will be inducted.  In subsequent years, no more than five will be inducted.  In the event of a tie, the Committee shall have the right to induct additional members.

Please take some time to nominate those who you feel are deserving of such an honor.  Please also help by spreading the word to anyone who may be of assistance.  The criteria for nomination is as follows:

Athlete

1.	Must be a graduate of Mt. Morris Central School
2.	Must wait at least five years after graduation to be nominated.
3.	Must have contributed heavily and had a significant positive impact to a program.  This may include but is not limited to attaining All County or All State honors, all-time leading scorer, winning a league, sectional or state championship, etc.
4.	Must have exemplified good character while representing Blue Devil Athletics and also in his/her life following graduation.
5.	Must have been a positive role model worthy of being emulated by current and future students.

Coach

1.	Must be retired from coaching after having coached a minimum of five years in any one sport at any level.  There is no waiting period for coaches.
2.	Must have contributed heavily and had a significant positive impact to a program.  This may include but is not limited to winning a league, sectional or state championship, etc.
3.	Must have exemplified good character while representing Blue Devil Athletics and also in his/her life.
4.	Must have been a positive role model worthy of being emulated by current and future students and/or coaches.

Special Contributor

1.	Anyone who contributed significantly to the Blue Devil Athletic Program.  This may include, but is not limited to, booster club presidents, parent volunteers, statisticians, spectators, any community member, etc.
2.	This category is left to the discretion of the members of the Committee.

Nominations can be submitted by mail by downloading, completing, and mailing the Nomination Form or are also accepted by filling in the online form.

Hall of Fame 2007 Inductees

A total of 6 athletes, 3 coaches, and 1 special contributor were inducted into the Mount Morris Athletics Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame 2008 Inductees

A total of 5 athletes were inducted into the Mount Morris Athletics Hall of Fame.
